Are you trying to cut IT costs, sharpen your security, and stop worrying about the Sage 200 server under the desk?

Three concerns finance teams raise with us every week: rising energy bills, ransomware risk, and the box that's now too old to depend on - all have the same answer.

Your concerns, answered

Three questions,
one platform built for the answer.

Most Sage 200 hosting conversations start with the same three worries. We've spent a decade building a platform around each of them. Read the answer; click through if it raises more.

01

“My on-prem IT bill keeps creeping up - energy, support, the next server refresh…”

Our answer

One predictable monthly figure. £426 platform fee, £33 per Sage user, £950 one-off setup (up to 10 users). No add-on bills for backup, security, monitoring, or patching later.

The cost-audit calculator does an honest like-for-like comparison against your current setup - including energy, depreciation, IT-support hours and the resilience gap nobody priced.

02

“What happens to our Sage data if we get hit with ransomware?”

Our answer

A layered, ransomware-informed security posture: network segmentation between customers, identity-bound access, endpoint protection.

Daily off-platform immutable backups - a copy that an attacker on the live environment cannot reach or encrypt. Restores are tested, not promised.

03

“Our Sage server is six years old. We don’t want to buy another one.”

Our answer

You stop buying servers. The Sage application moves to a dedicated VM in Microsoft Azure UK South, with a dedicated SQL Server instance - not shared multi-tenant.

We size it to your user count, patch and monitor it, and keep it on a Sage-supported version matrix. You stop worrying about end-of-life refresh cycles.

04

“We’re moving off Sage. What about HMRC retention?”

Our answer

Archive hosting keeps your old Sage 200 or Sage 50 environment read-only and compliant for the retention period - seven years as standard, longer on request.

From £191/mo per Sage 200 licence or £132/mo per Sage 50 licence, on a 12-month contract. Direct-quote inside one working day.

A week, a few years ago,
that changed everything.

A few years ago, our own business was hit with ransomware. We didn't lose the business - we recovered.

You don't take security seriously until you've lived through an attack. We hadn't. That's the gap mybusiness cloud is built to close.

But that experience was the reason mybusiness cloud fully moved to Microsoft Azure, with all the security benefits that come with Azure.

The year afterwards, the founder spent thinking about what he wished he'd had on the day it happened: the kind of always-on security a small business can't realistically build itself, backups that get genuinely tested, and a team that knows the system well enough to put it back together quickly.

Around 90 UK businesses host with us today, with hundreds hosted over the years. Sage 200 is our bread and butter - around 90% of our customers run it - and we also host Sage 50, with non-Sage hosting on the horizon where the same dedicated, UK-only model fits.

We didn’t lose the business - we recovered. Andrew Starkey · Founder

Thirty years working with Sage.

Andrew started working with Sage software in the mid-1990s. Implementations, customisations, troubleshooting, integrations. Most of his career has been hands-on with Sage 200 - its data model, its quirks, its add-ons, the things that go wrong on a Monday morning and the things that go right when the setup is correct.

That's the reason a customer can ring us with a Sage 200 IT question and talk to someone who already knows the shape of the answer. But the company isn't a one-person business - it's a team of engineers and Sage operators who run the platform day in, day out.

What “Sage specialism” actually means

Three concrete ways
it shows up - this week.

There's a place for a generic hyperscaler. There's also a place for someone who picks up the phone and already knows your system. For our customers, specialism shows up in three concrete ways.

Sage updates land here first.

We test Sage updates on our own systems before they go live on customers'. If something is going to break, we want to be the ones who hit it first - not your finance team on a Monday.

Add-ons we already know.

Most of the popular Sage 200 add-ons from the likes of Sicon, Eureka and Paperless already run on mybusiness cloud, as well as many third-party integrations into Shopify, Amazon and customers' own websites.

New accountant, same-day setup.

When a new accountant joins one of our customer companies, we set them up the same day - we've done it a hundred times. No ticket queue, no scheduling, no on-boarding form.

Six-month customer catchups

Over 90% of customers tell us they wish their other IT suppliers had a team as helpful and responsive as ours.

The people behind your environment

Not just Andrew.
A team you’ll hear from.

Sage hosting is too operational to depend on one person. Behind the founder story sits a small, focused team of hosting engineers and Sage operators who run the platform every day.

Hosting engineers

Platform operations

Run the Azure infrastructure, patch the VMs, manage the SQL Server estate, and own the on-call rota.

Sage 200 operators

Application support

Day-to-day Sage 200 users themselves. Handle user provisioning, add-on quirks, and the awkward questions.

Security & compliance

Security posture

Own the security stack - segmentation, monitoring, endpoint protection.

Team headcount and named operators are introduced individually during onboarding. We don't put a photo gallery on the website because the people doing the work change less often than the people on a marketing page.

Questions finance teams ask us

Direct answers,
on the record.

How is mybusiness cloud different from generic IT-provider hosting?
Every customer gets a dedicated VM and a dedicated SQL Server instance on Microsoft Azure UK South - not shared multi-tenant. The operators handling the environment use Sage 200 every day, so Sage's quirks are first-hand knowledge, not a manual look-up.
What does Sage 200 hosting cost?
£426 per month platform fee, £33 per user per month, plus a £950 one-off setup (up to 10 users). A public calculator does the maths for your exact user count and emails a personalised PDF - no sales call required.
Where is the data?
Microsoft Azure UK South region. Backups also in the UK. No cross-region drift, no offshore restore path. Your data does not leave the UK.
Can I keep my old Sage records after moving to a different ERP?
Yes. mybusiness Sage Archive hosting keeps your old Sage 200 or Sage 50 records read-only and compliant for the full retention period - seven years as standard, longer on request. From £191 per month per Sage 200 licence; from £132 per month per Sage 50 licence, on a 12-month contract. Direct-quote within one working day.
Do you compete with my IT provider or Sage reseller?
No. We host the Sage layer; your IT company keeps Microsoft 365, devices and the network. Sage consultancy stays with your reseller. The boundary is written down in a partner addendum before the contract is signed.
What if I want to leave?
You leave. We give you your database back, fully exported, and stay out of the way of your next provider. The hosting contract is based on a twelve month contract.
