Privacy & cookies.
The short version: we collect as little as possible, we don’t sell it, and analytics only runs if you say yes. The detail is below.
Who we are
This website is run by Starkey Consultants Limited, trading as mybusiness cloud - a private limited company registered in England and Wales, company number 03784995, registered office 9 Kings Barn Lane, Steyning, West Sussex, BN44 3YR. For anything to do with your data, contact andrew.starkey@mybusiness.uk.com or call 0776 1932262.
What we collect and why
When you email or call us. We hold your name, contact details and whatever you send us, and we use them to reply and to deal with your enquiry. We keep enquiry correspondence for as long as we need it to look after the relationship and for our business records.
When you book a Teams call. Bookings run through Microsoft Bookings, which collects your name, email address and chosen time so the meeting can be set up. Microsoft processes that data under its own privacy statement.
When you use the cost calculator. The details you enter on calculator.mybusinesscloud.uk.com, including your contact details, come to us so we can prepare and send your cost audit. We use them for that purpose and to follow up with you about it.
When you just browse. Cloudflare serves this website and keeps standard, short-lived server logs for security and performance. Analytics is covered in the next section, and it is entirely optional.
Cookies
We use one optional analytics service, Google Analytics, and it does not run unless you accept it on the cookie banner. If you decline, no analytics cookies are set and nothing is sent to Google.
- mbc-consent (stored in your browser) - remembers your yes or no on the banner so we don’t keep asking. This is not a tracking cookie.
- _ga and _ga_* (Google Analytics, only if you accept) - help us see which pages are used so we can improve the site. They last up to two years. We don’t use analytics for advertising and we don’t share it beyond Google’s processing of it for us.
You can change your mind at any time:
Who your data is shared with
We don’t sell your data and we don’t share it for advertising. Like most businesses we use a small number of service providers to run things: Microsoft (email, calendars and bookings), Cloudflare (serving this website) and Google (analytics, only if you accept the cookie). Each processes data on our behalf under their own agreements.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you can ask us what we hold about you, ask for it to be corrected or deleted, and object to how it is used. Email andrew.starkey@mybusiness.uk.com and we will sort it out. If you are unhappy with how we have handled something, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
Changes to this page
If how we handle data changes, this page will be updated. Last updated 5 July 2026.
